Terms of Service

Last reviewed: May 2026 · Launch — these terms will be expanded as additional plans go live. Please read them in full before using the service.

These terms are an agreement between you ("you", "the customer") and Konhas Ltd ("we", "us", "VomeHome"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. The service

VomeHome provides hosted Home Assistant Operating System (HAOS) virtual machines on shared physical hardware, plus a HomeLink VPN between each instance and your home network. Each instance runs in its own isolated VM; hardware is shared in the same way as any reputable hosting provider.

2. Launch tier

The service is launching with a single Standard tier (one Home Assistant instance per account). During this period, access is via a free trial that can be extended with an invite code. Pro and Developer tiers (more RAM, multiple instances, CHAP failover, SSH) will be added via the Subscription page once they have been battle-tested; until then, those tiers are visible but not purchasable.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

  • Break the law in any relevant jurisdiction.
  • Attack, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to other tenants, the host infrastructure, or third-party systems.
  • Run anything materially unrelated to home automation (e.g. cryptocurrency mining, large-scale scraping, bulk email).
  • Resell access to your VomeHome instance to third parties.
  • Distribute malware or content that infringes others' rights.

We may suspend or terminate access immediately if you breach these rules and may notify the relevant authorities where appropriate.

4. Your content

The content inside your HAOS VM (configuration, automations, history, add-ons, recordings, device data) belongs to you. You're responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and process it. We do not access it for our own purposes; see the Privacy Policy for details.

5. Trials, invite codes & suspension

  • Trial days are advisory, not a contractual entitlement to a specific level of service.
  • When a trial expires, your instance is suspended (VM stopped, disk retained) for the configured grace period (currently 14 days), then purged.
  • Invite codes are non-transferable, may be single- or multi-use, and can be revoked at our discretion if abused.
  • Once paid plans go live, failure to pay for a renewal period will also result in suspension and eventual purge under the same grace period.

6. Availability & backups

We aim for high availability but make no specific uptime guarantee at launch. You are responsible for taking and verifying your own backups; we provide tooling to do so but do not guarantee disaster-recovery for individual instances.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) 500 kr. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special losses, including loss of data, profits, or business interruption.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law (such as for fraud or death/personal injury caused by negligence).

8. Termination

You can close your account at any time from the dashboard or by emailing support@vome.io. We can terminate or suspend service for breach of these terms or for prolonged non-use (after notice). Personal data is then handled per the Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves; significant changes will be highlighted on the dashboard before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date counts as acceptance.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, save where consumer-protection law gives you rights to a different jurisdiction.
